Zonal Triennials on Reimagining and Restructuring Jesuit Education

The Conference Secretariat for School education (CSSE) organised four Zonal Triennials with the collaboration of Zonal Coordinator and Province Coordinator of Education (PCEs). The triennials reflect upon the main theme “Reimagining & Restructuring Jesuit education in Today’s South Asian Context: Review – Reinvent – Renew”. With input sessions by thematic experts, group activities, and plenaries, the Zonal Triennials were marked by the presence of Jesuit Major Superiors, Jesuit School Leaders, Jesuit Educators, Lay and Religious Collaborators and senior teachers.

The sessions on the first day were fully dedicated to contextualizing Jesuit Education Apostolate in South Asia: Social – Economical and Cultural context and Jesuit Educational Context: Global – Regional – National – Local. The second day sessions focused on Reimagining and Restructuring Jesuit Education. At the end of each Triennial, all Zones came up with Zonal Triennial Declaration with concrete action plans at the Province and Zonal levels as a way forward to fulfil commitment to be educationally relevant as Jesuit Schools in the changing landscape.

The South Zone Triennial was held at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Bengaluru,14–15 September 2024, and was attended by 127 participants. The Central Zone Triennial was held at Spirituality Centre, Namkum, Ranchi, 9–10 October 2024, attended by 188 participants. While the West Zone Triennial was held at Post Graduate Block at Jnana Deepa in Pune,  29–30 October 2024, with 123 participants, the North Zone Triennial was held at St. Xavier’s College of Management & Technology, Patna, 7–08 November 2024. It was attended by 127 participants.
